Greendale is four generations of the same family, working the same 180 acres on Moor Lane. We raise native-breed cattle (Aberdeen Angus and Longhorn), rare-breed pigs, and lambs — all outdoors, all year round.
Our produce side grows seasonal veg, tomatoes in our polytunnels, and soft fruit. In the autumn we've got apples from the orchard our grandfather planted. The rest of what you see in the shop comes from farms we know by name, all within 30 miles.
Cattle: 80 Aberdeen Angus and Longhorn suckler cows. Grass-fed, slow-grown, dry-aged for 28 days minimum.
Pigs: Saddleback and Gloucester Old Spot. Woodland-raised for 9 months.
Sheep: Mule lambs on the moors, finished on our lower fields.
The farm shop is open 7 days a week. Come wander, have a coffee in our cafe, say hi to the animals. Everyone's welcome.
