Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

These terms apply to all bookings and stays at The York Manor. By making a booking you confirm you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.

1. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation and your deposit has been received. The lead guest must be at least 18 years old.

2. Deposit & payment

A 20% deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The balance is payable on check-in. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

3. Cancellation policy

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the arrival date will receive a full refund of the deposit.

Cancellations made between 48 hours and 14 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund of the total stay value.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival, and no-shows, are non-refundable in full.

We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations.

4. Check-in & check-out

Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 11am on the day of departure. Late check-out may be available on request and may be subject to a charge. A valid photo ID is required on check-in for the lead guest.

5. Damage & loss

Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to the hotel's property during their stay, whether by themselves or members of their party. We reserve the right to charge your card for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.

6. Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse service, or to require a guest to leave without refund, where their behaviour is abusive, unsafe, illegal, or materially disturbs other guests or staff. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, and excessive noise is not permitted after 10pm.

7. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, severe weather, power failure, public health emergencies, acts of government, or acts of war. Where possible we will offer alternative dates or a refund at our discretion.

8. Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the total value of your booking. We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought onto the premises except where caused by our negligence. A secure safe is provided in each room.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
