Aftercare
Proper aftercare is everything. Follow this guide carefully and your ink will stay crisp for decades.
Tattoo Aftercare
Leave the initial bandage on for 2-4 hours. Wash gently with fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of aftercare balm.
Wash 2-3 times daily with unscented soap. Apply a tiny amount of fragrance-free moisturiser. Do NOT pick, scratch or scrub. Avoid direct sunlight and soaking in water.
The tattoo will start to peel — this is normal. Keep it clean and moisturised. Do not pick at flakes. Itching is normal; tap gently instead of scratching.
The outer layer heals but the deeper layers are still settling. Avoid chlorine, saunas, direct sun and rough clothing. Full heal: approximately 4-6 weeks.
Always use SPF 50+ on your tattoos when in the sun. Moisturise regularly. Come back for touch-ups if needed — first one is free within 3 months.
Piercing Aftercare
Use saline solution twice daily (morning and night). Soak a clean cotton pad and gently clean around the piercing. Do NOT twist or rotate the jewellery.
Earlobe: 6-8 weeks · Cartilage: 6-12 months · Nostril: 4-6 months · Navel: 9-12 months · Tongue: 4-6 weeks. Do not change jewellery until fully healed.
Swimming pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water until healed. Makeup, lotions and hair products near the piercing. Sleeping directly on the piercing.
Some swelling, redness and clear discharge is normal. Contact us if you see yellow/green pus, increasing pain, red streaks or fever — these may indicate infection.
