Terms of Engagement

These terms govern the engagement between York Ledger and our clients. A full letter of engagement will be issued before any work commences.
Our services
We provide chartered accountancy services subject to the rules and ethical guidelines of the ACCA and ICAEW. Specific services will be set out in your engagement letter.
Fees and payment
Fees are fixed monthly and payable in advance by direct debit. Any additional work not covered in your engagement will be quoted separately and agreed in writing.
Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate and timely information. We cannot be held liable for penalties arising from information provided late or incorrectly.
Termination
Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice. We will cooperate fully with any successor accountant.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied, please contact us in writing. Unresolved complaints can be escalated to the ACCA or ICAEW.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
