Our story

About Willow Brook

Willow Brook Park has been a family-run campsite since 1987. What started as a few tent pitches in a sheep field by the river has grown into 40 acres of well-tended meadow, glamping pods, serviced pitches and woodland lodges — but the spirit has stayed the same.

We’re the Armitage family. Peter bought the site back when he was a young farmer looking to diversify; now his daughter Sarah runs it day-to-day with her husband Dan, their two kids, and a team of wonderful seasonal staff.

What makes us different

We believe campsites should be peaceful. That means proper spacing between pitches (no sardine tins), a strict 10pm quiet time, real grass under your tent, and no endless tannoy announcements. It also means great showers, a well-stocked shop, and being on hand when you need us.

The environment

We’re a David Bellamy Gold Award site and active stewards of our little corner of the Dales. Electricity comes from a mix of solar and renewable tariff, we’ve planted over 2,000 native trees in the last decade, and our wildflower meadows are a haven for bees, butterflies, and ground-nesting birds.
