1. Introduction
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Prestige Motors website and the purchase of vehicles and related services from us. By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Prestige Motors is registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is 123 Motor Row, York, YO1 1AA.
2. Vehicle Descriptions & Accuracy
We make every effort to ensure that vehicle descriptions, specifications, photographs, and prices displayed on our website are accurate. However:
- Photographs are for illustration purposes and may not reflect the exact specification or condition of the vehicle. Colours may appear differently on screen.
- Specifications are provided by manufacturers and third-party data sources. While we verify key details, minor specification variations may occur.
- Mileage is recorded at the time of listing and may increase due to preparation, test drives, or transit.
- All vehicles are sold as seen unless otherwise stated in writing. We recommend that you inspect any vehicle in person or arrange an independent inspection before purchase.
- We reserve the right to correct any errors in vehicle descriptions or pricing without liability, provided a sale has not been completed.
3. Pricing
All vehicle prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Prices do not include:
- Vehicle registration or transfer fees
- Delivery or collection charges (quoted separately on request)
- Any optional extras or accessories not listed in the vehicle specification
- Road tax (Vehicle Excise Duty)
- Insurance
Prices are subject to change without notice until a binding contract of sale is formed. A binding contract is formed when we accept your offer to purchase and you have paid a deposit or the full purchase price. We reserve the right to withdraw any vehicle from sale at any time prior to the formation of a binding contract.
4. Deposits & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of £500 (or as otherwise agreed) is required to reserve a vehicle. The deposit will be deducted from the final purchase price. Full payment must be received before the vehicle is released. We accept payment by:
- Bank transfer (preferred for amounts over £1,000)
- Debit card
- Credit card (subject to a 2% processing fee for amounts over £5,000)
- Online payment via Stripe (for deposits and balances up to £10,000)
- Finance (subject to approval by our lending partners)
We do not accept cash payments exceeding £1,000 in accordance with anti-money laundering regulations. We reserve the right to request proof of funds for high-value transactions.
5. Vehicle Finance
Prestige Motors acts as a credit broker, not a lender. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for credit broking activities. Finance is subject to status and approval by our lending partners.
- Representative APR and monthly payment figures displayed are for illustration purposes and may vary based on your individual circumstances, credit history, and the lender's assessment.
- We may receive a commission or fee from the finance provider for introducing your application. This does not affect the amount you pay.
- You have the right to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of signing a finance agreement, during which you may withdraw without penalty. You must return the vehicle and settle any outstanding balance.
- We offer finance products including Hire Purchase (HP), Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), and personal loans. Full terms for each product are provided before you sign.
- You are under no obligation to take finance through us and are free to arrange your own funding.
6. Test Drives
Test drives are available by appointment and subject to the following conditions:
- You must hold a full, valid UK or EU driving licence and be aged 21 or over (25 or over for high-performance vehicles).
- You must present your driving licence in person before the test drive. We will retain a copy for our records.
- Test drives are accompanied by a member of our team and follow a pre-agreed route.
- You are responsible for any fines, penalties, or charges incurred during the test drive (e.g. speeding fines, congestion charges).
- You must drive the vehicle in a responsible manner and in accordance with road traffic laws. We reserve the right to terminate a test drive at any time if we consider your driving to be unsafe.
- Any damage caused to the vehicle during the test drive that is attributable to your negligence will be your responsibility, subject to our insurance excess.
7. Part Exchange
We offer part-exchange valuations subject to the following terms:
- Valuations provided online or by telephone are indicative only and subject to physical inspection of your vehicle.
- The final part-exchange value may be adjusted following inspection if the vehicle's condition, mileage, or specification differs from the information you provided.
- Part-exchange valuations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue, subject to no material change in the vehicle's condition.
- You must have clear legal title to the part-exchange vehicle. We will conduct an HPI check to verify there is no outstanding finance, insurance write-off history, or stolen vehicle marker.
- If outstanding finance exists on your part-exchange vehicle, the settlement amount will be deducted from the part-exchange value.
8. Warranty
All vehicles are sold with a minimum 3-month/3,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) covering major mechanical and electrical components. Extended warranty options are available at additional cost. The warranty is subject to the following:
- The warranty covers the engine, gearbox, differential, steering rack, and electrical systems as detailed in the warranty document provided at point of sale.
- The warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items (tyres, brakes, clutch, etc.), cosmetic damage, or faults arising from misuse, neglect, or failure to maintain the vehicle.
- Claims must be reported to us before any repair work is undertaken. Unauthorised repairs will not be covered.
- This warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Consumer Rights & Distance Selling
If you purchase a vehicle without attending our premises (for example, by telephone or online), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 may apply:
- You have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from the day after delivery of the vehicle, during which you may cancel the contract for any reason.
- To cancel, you must notify us in writing (email or letter) within the 14-day period. We will provide a cancellation form upon request.
- You must return the vehicle to our premises at your own cost within 14 days of cancellation. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as delivered, allowing for reasonable inspection.
- We will refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving the returned vehicle. We may deduct a reasonable amount for any diminution in value caused by your handling of the vehicle beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.
- The cooling-off period does not apply to bespoke or personalised vehicles ordered to your specification.
10. Delivery & Collection
Vehicles may be collected from our premises or delivered to your address (delivery charges apply). Risk in the vehicle passes to you upon collection or delivery. We will agree a delivery date with you and make reasonable efforts to meet it, but delivery dates are estimates only and time is not of the essence. You must inspect the vehicle upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015). Subject to this:
- Our total liability arising under or in connection with the sale of a vehicle shall not exceed the purchase price of the vehicle.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit, loss of use, or loss of opportunity.
- We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

13. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Prestige Motors or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.
14. Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use. You must not misuse our website by introducing viruses, trojans, or other malicious code. We reserve the right to restrict access to our website at any time without notice.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Changes will not apply retrospectively to any contract already formed. Continued use of our website following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
