Looked at Storekit?

Same model. A fraction of the price.

Storekit is a great product — we like them. But their cheapest real plan is £99/mo, scaling to £199–£399 for multi-site. rinKo is built for UK indies who need the same thing at a tenth of the cost.

Questions

Things you’ll probably ask.

Who pays the card processing fee?+
Stripe takes ~1.5% + 20p per transaction — this comes out of the money before it lands in your account, same as it would on any card payment machine. rinKo itself never takes a cut of your food revenue.
How does my customer pay the 99p booking fee?+
It’s a line item on their bill at checkout — shown clearly as "Booking fee · 99p". They pay once, on their card. You can absorb it yourself on the £29 Pro plan if you’d rather not show the fee.
Can I offer delivery, not just collection?+
Collection-only right now — the v1 is built for takeaways where customers come in. Delivery is on the roadmap for Q3 2026. If you need delivery today, use Storekit or Flipdish; come back when we ship it.
What happens if Stripe declines a card?+
The order never gets created. The customer sees Stripe’s error, fixes their card (or uses Apple/Google Pay), and submits again. You only see paid orders on your kanban — no phantom orders, no wasted kitchen time.
Can I use my own domain (ordertest.co.uk)?+
Yes on the Pro plan (£29/mo). Point your domain’s DNS at rinKo and we’ll auto-issue an SSL certificate within minutes. Until then you get a free subdomain like yourshop.rinko.co.uk.
Do customers need to create an account?+
No. Name + mobile + (optional) email is all they need. Returning customers can look up their past orders via an SMS magic-link — no password, no app install.
What if I want to stop taking orders mid-service?+
Tap the kanban’s "Busy mode" to add 15 or 30 minutes to your wait time. When the kitchen is slammed, set a bigger wait or set an opening hour to "closed" for today — customers instantly see "currently closed" on your site.
How does printing work?+
Each order auto-prints to any printer on the same network as the tablet/computer logged into the kanban. Works with Epson TM-M30, Star TSP100, and basically any thermal printer you already have. Reprint button on every order card.
Is there a contract?+
No. You’re on a rolling plan — cancel any time from /admin/billing and your customer site shuts down at the end of the month. No "we kept your data hostage" tricks.
Who’s behind rinKo?+
A small UK team. We run the platform ourselves, onboard every venue personally, and reply to emails from a human. If you pick up the phone we will too.
