Frequently asked questions

Answers to the things we hear most often. Still have questions? Get in touch.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes — we are currently accepting both NHS and private new patients. Register online or call us and we will book you in for an initial consultation.

Do you take NHS patients?

Yes. We offer a mix of NHS and private care. When you register we will explain which treatments are available on the NHS and the costs involved.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturdays 9am–2pm. We have same-day emergency slots available every weekday.

How much does a check-up cost?

Private check-ups start from £55 including a full examination. NHS band-1 check-ups are currently £26.80. We will always be transparent about cost before any treatment.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer 0% interest finance on treatments over £500, spread over up to 12 months. We can walk you through the options at your consultation.

Is the treatment painful?

We use the latest pain-management techniques including topical numbing gel and modern local anaesthetic. Most patients feel very little — or nothing at all.

Do you treat nervous patients?

Absolutely. A large number of our patients tell us they were nervous about coming. We take our time, explain everything, and never rush you. Just let us know on booking.

Do you see children?

Yes, we love seeing children and have a friendly, kid-focused approach. Children up to 18 are free on the NHS.

I’m pregnant — can I still visit?

Yes. Dental care during pregnancy is safe and important, and NHS treatment is free for pregnant patients and for 12 months after giving birth.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us as early in the day as possible — we keep emergency slots every weekday. Out of hours, call NHS 111 or attend A&E if life-threatening.

Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes, we offer both in-chair and custom take-home whitening kits. It is one of our most popular treatments.

How often should I visit?

Most adults benefit from a check-up every 6–12 months. We will recommend an interval based on your individual risk.

Do you offer implants?

Yes. We offer single and multiple implants, and we place and restore them in-house. Book a consultation for a personalised plan.

Can I park nearby?

There is pay-and-display parking on Riverside Walk, plus the Castle Car Park a short walk away. We can validate short-stay parking on request.

Is the practice accessible?

Yes — we have step-free access, an accessible bathroom and a ground-floor surgery for patients who need it. Please let us know your requirements when booking.

How do I cancel or change an appointment?

Please give us at least 48 hours notice so we can offer the slot to another patient. You can cancel by phone or by replying to your confirmation email.
