4. Legal basis for processing

We rely on: contract performance (for tenancy services), legal obligation (for referencing, AML, tax), legitimate interest (for property management and business operations), and consent (for marketing communications).

5. Sharing your data

We share data only where necessary with: referencing providers (HomeLet), the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), HMRC, utility providers (with your authorisation), tradespeople (for managed maintenance), solicitors (for legal matters), and our accountants. We never sell your data.

6. How long we keep it

Tenancy records are retained for 7 years after the tenancy ends (to meet HMRC and legal obligations). Enquiry data is retained for 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@dalesproperty.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
